Our Philosophy
We believe in championing the diverse identities, abilities, experiences, and voices of our employees, travelers, candidates, business partners, and industry peers.
Because we know, the very act of travel can open doors that introduce us to a world very different from our own.
Better together
Our ED+I team is supported by champions from across the business: individuals dedicated to helping tackle our strategic initiatives from all angles and representing a number of regions, business units, and teams. These groups give us important insight and counsel on industry, cultural, and regional trends, ensuring the work is relevant and impactful in all of our markets.
Employee Resource Groups
We empower all of our employees to bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the table—this is what drives us to think bigger and be better.
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) offer individuals a dedicated space to organize around shared experiences, identities, abilities, and interests. Each groups creates a sense of belonging and builds community that supports personal, professional, and organizational growth.
Our ERGs act as champions of our overall ED+I strategy by influencing organizational culture, creating learning and development opportunities, sharing community programs, and providing opportunities to practice allyship. ERG members are encouraged to elevate unique issues around identity and experience, and through that lens, provide insights into markets, products, content, and the employee experience.

Never
stop
learning
The ED+I team offers employees at all levels opportunities to listen, learn, and grow through a number of internal programs and events, often in partnership with our employee resource groups (ERGs).
Community conversations
Discussions focused on a variety of topics and current events important to our community and society at large. Every time we engage in these exchanges, we work on getting better at building trust, understanding, and connection. These are critical skills that not only improve the employee experience but also help us to be a more effective organization overall.
Viewpoints
Programs designed to elevate voices, deliver perspectives, and raise awareness. These programs provide a forum for employees to hear from colleagues and internal/external thought leaders on a variety of topics within the ED+I and Social Impact space.

“I am proud to be a part of an organization that strives hard to be inclusive and values equity and diversity. The work culture provides a safe environment where we are not afraid of being unfairly judged or discriminated against. I love Tripadvisor!”

“Being a Co-Lead and a part of Black@ has been an amazing experience. Employee Resources Groups have allowed me to feel a part of a community, to have a safe space to become even more engaged and a part of Tripadvisor and Cruise Critic. It's an amazing feeling to be able to connect, contribute, collaborate, and celebrate our differences, our strengths, and our stories. Seeing our efforts as co-leads in partnership with ED+I shape, develop and grow Tripadvisor & Tripadvisor Media Group's (TAMG) core cultures has been an amazing feeling. The growth I've been able to achieve is a gift I will forever be grateful for. I'm proud to work for a company that wants us all to bring our full self to work and truly embraces the motto ‘Better Together.’”

“Employee Resource Groups foster communities and safe spaces around affinity and identity groups that are hard to come by in a corporate setting. For me, it has meant getting to know and collaborate with a diverse group of passionate, caring, and fun people across many teams. Seeing our efforts help shape our emerging ED+I culture, as well as influence our traveler facing product, has been incredibly fulfilling.”

“One of the most rewarding moments of my time at Tripadvisor was seeing, in a recent survey, an overwhelming percentage of our Tripadvisor family indicate they feel they can be their authentics selves at work. Equally rewarding, is seeing, experiencing, and sharing that authenticity first-hand on calls, meetings, and during social events.

“When inclusion and diversity are a priority in your workplace, ERGs positively become the best way to keep employees connected through a common cause or interest. Getting involved in these groups has made my job more enjoyable and it has also given me a purpose since I feel that I am making an impact and doing something meaningful. ERGs build high-trust relationships and foster a sense of belonging. I am very happy to be part of the ED+I community.”
